Moorina Haven Retreat – Departure & Cleaning Policy

At Moorina Haven Retreat, we want you to spend your time relaxing and enjoying your stay, not worrying about cleaning.

A standard cleaning fee is included with your booking, allowing our housekeeping team to thoroughly prepare the retreat for every guest. We simply ask that you leave the property in a reasonably clean and tidy condition before departure.

Before You Depart

Prior to your departure, we kindly ask that you:

  • Wash, dry and put away any dishes, cookware and utensils used during your stay, or place them in the dishwasher, we can commence the cycle.
  • Wipe down kitchen benches if they are excessively soiled.
  • Place all rubbish in the bins provided.
  • Dispose of any food items you have brought onto the property.
  • Return furniture and household items to their original position if they have been moved.
  • Turn oR lights, air conditioning, fans and appliances before leaving.
  • Ensure all doors and windows are closed and locked.
  • Return the keys to the designated lockbox or agreed collection point.

 

There is no need to strip the beds before you leave, we’ll happily take care of the rest

Linen, Towels & Guest Amenities

Fresh linen and towels are provided for your comfort throughout your stay.

To help us maintain their quality, we kindly ask that you:

  • Use bath towels for bathing only.
  • Use the dedicated makeup removal towels provided to help protect our white towels and linen.
  • Use the towels provided for the spa when enjoying the outdoor facilities.
  • Avoid using bath towels around the fire pit or outdoors unless they have been designated for that purpose.
  • Leave all linen, towels, robes and other guest amenities at the property unless otherwise indicated (slippers are yours to keep ).

 

For your comfort:

  • Luxury robes are provided for use during your stay and are to remain at the retreat.
  • Complimentary slippers are provided for your enjoyment and are yours to take home as a small keepsake of your stay at Moorina Haven Retreat.

 

If you require additional linen or towels during your stay, please contact your hosts and we will be happy to assist where possible.

Additional Cleaning Charges

Your standard cleaning fee covers the normal cleaning required after your departure.

Additional cleaning charges may apply where extra time or specialist cleaning is required due to circumstances beyond normal use, including but not limited to:

  • Excessive rubbish left throughout the property.
  • Unwashed dishes or excessive food waste.
  • Staining of carpets, furniture, bedding, towels or linen requiring specialist cleaning.
  • Smoking or vaping inside the accommodation.
  • Excessive dirt, mud or spills requiring additional cleaning.
  • Failure to dispose of rubbish appropriately.
  • Cleaning required due to unauthorised guests, pets or activities.

 

Any additional cleaning charges will reflect the reasonable costs incurred.

Rubbish & Recycling

To help us care for the environment, we encourage guests to dispose of rubbish responsibly.

Please:

  • Place general waste in the bins provided (downstairs under the house).
  • Use recycling bins where available and separate recyclable items where
    practical.
  • Avoid leaving rubbish or food scraps outside, as these may attract native wildlife.
  • Ensure all rubbish is securely bagged before placing it in the bins.

 

If your stay is for an extended period or you require assistance with rubbish disposal, please contact your hosts.
